I’ve been on a photo kick lately. It’s nice to switch it up and think and communicate with imagery from time to time. Though sometimes I find that it’s just a matter of wanting to preserve a particularly striking visual. Or, in the case of This is Not a Queens Photo Blog (Or a Pipe)–a terrific spot online chronicling the visuals and sounds of our great borough–a series of meaningful images.
In that vein, I want to share my latest discovery: Shake It, a very cool iphone photo application. It was actually my first app purchase (all my others have been of the gratis persuasion). ShakeIt allows iphone users to take Polaroid-style pictures. It gets its name from its shaking feature that makes the picture appear faster within its Polaroidesque frame. The images themselves are retro and very rich in color. These were my first two pics:

I’m pretty sure this app is the best 99¢ I’ve spent in years.
After the jump, I’ve included a gallery of stuff that didn’t make it in during the month (desi geighs! domestic enemies who nap!).
